Ongoing Ministries

  • colonial kids' club - TUESDAYS, 4:00-5:30

Colonial Kids' Club is for elementary age children who live at the Colonial Arms Apartment Residence. The club meets Tuesdays from 3:45-5:15. At Colonial Kids' Club we will have a snack, Bible story, games, crafts, homework assistance, and more. For more information about this ministry, please contact Marcy Smith at (254) 776-2524 or via email at

  • senior adult ministry

Our Senior Adult Ministry allows our members to make a difference for Christ in the lives of seniors who live in retirement centers, nursing homes, or who are homebound. We make ministry visits to encourage and bless members in these situations as well as have a Ministry Choir that provides weekly hymn sings at facilities for all residents residing there. Our Ministry Choir day is Tuesday afternoons at 1:30 PM and we leave from the Choir Room of the church to ride together. No special skills are needed, but a love for others and a willingness to reach out in Jesus' name. For more information contact Kip Osborne at (254) 776-2524 or via email at

  • parkdale Elementary partnership

Each week volunteers from Western Heights spend time helping children and teachers at our neighboring elementary school. Volunteers are needed to assist in the classroom, to read with children, and even to join children for lunch. We also need volunteers who will commit to pray daily for a Parkdale staff member (join our Parkdale Prayer Partner Team). For more information about this ministry, please contact Marcy Smith at (254) 776-2524 or via email at

  • parkdale/eagle christian academy prayer team

Our church is blessed to work closely with two local schools.  Parkdale Elementary is our WISD Parnter in Education, and Eagle Christian Academy High School meets in our building.  We have the wonderful opportunity to pray daily for the teachers and staff members at each school.  If you will commit to pray daily for a Parkdale or EAC staff member please click the picture to register.  God is ready to do more than than we ask or imagine!
